Amidst the majestic Northwest mountains and forests, there is a journey that takes you just 15 minutes to reach the “Roof of Indochina” - that is the Fansipan cable car, the pride of Sun World Fansipan Legend. More than just a means of transport, this is an engineering marvel recognized by Guinness World Records, opening up a unique travel experience in Vietnam.

Two Guinness World Records Achieved

Opened in 2016, the Fansipan three-rope cable car line set two world records:

  • Three-rope cable car with the greatest difference in altitude between the departure and arrival stations (1,410m).

  • The world's longest three-rope cable car line (6,292.5m).

The structure is designed and operated to European standards, ensuring absolute safety, making the experience of conquering the highest peak in Indochina easier than ever before.

Take in the panoramic view of Muong Hoa Valley and the Hoang Lien Son mountain range

From Hoang Lien Station (Sun Plaza Sapa), you begin a journey of about 15 minutes - crossing primeval forests, deep streams, and seas of white clouds. The scenery changes with altitude, unfolding a magnificent natural panorama unique to Sapa.

Experience "Walking Among the Clouds"

As the cabin gradually approaches the Fansipan peak, you will feel like you are flying among the clouds, with tiny houses hidden in the valley below. Every frame seen through the window is a vivid postcard picture.

Design Harmonizing with Nature

The entire cable car route is skillfully constructed not to disrupt the mountain forest landscape. The departure and arrival stations are inspired by Tay Bac architecture combined with Buddhist cultural elements, creating a beauty that is both majestic and familiar.

Every Season Offers a Beautiful Experience

  • Spring: floating clouds, wild flowers blooming profusely.

  • Summer: clear blue sky, far visibility.

  • Autumn: the golden color of terraced fields covers the mountainside.

  • Winter: snow covers Fansipan - a rare sight in Vietnam.

Small Tips for Your Fansipan Journey

  • It is recommended to take the cable car early in the morning for a chance to "hunt for clouds" and avoid fog.

  • Prepare a warm jacket, especially in winter, as the temperature at the summit is usually 7-10°C lower than in the town center.

  • Don't forget to download the Sun Paradise Land App to check operating schedules, buy tickets online, and view directions from Sapa center to Hoang Lien station.
