Sun Group officially hands over Yoko Onsen Quang Hanh to Hilton for management.

On February 12, Sun Group announced the handover of operations and management of the Yoko Onsen Quang Hanh resort to the world-leading Hilton hotel brand. The event marks a significant development in the strategy to elevate the four-season wellness tourism model in Quang Ninh.

Establishing global brand presence, driving four-season wellness tourism

Hilton is a renowned hotel group with 25 premium brands, including globally recognized names such as Hilton Hotels & Resorts, DoubleTree by Hilton, and Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts. Steadfast in its mission to spread "the light and warmth of hospitality" worldwide, over more than a century of growth, Hilton has welcomed over three billion guests and built a community of over 235 million loyal Hilton Honors members.

The cooperation with Hilton is considered a strategic move by Sun Group, creating a foundation for Quang Ninh tourism to more effectively approach the high-end international customer segment – a customer group with high spending potential and a tendency for long stays, thereby promoting the sustainable development of the tourism industry in the heritage region.

On the morning of February 12, Yoko Onsen Quang Hanh was officially handed over to Hilton for operation. Under the management of this corporation, the resort built and operated by Sun Group since 2020 will be renamed Hilton Quang Hanh Onsen Resort, oriented to become an international-class wellness destination, where the traditional onsen experience is placed within a system of strict global service standards.

This is the third Hilton Hotels & Resorts resort in Vietnam and the first onsen resort of Hilton in Southeast Asia. This event contributes to strengthening the position of wellness tourism – a prominent strength of Quang Ninh, while gradually solving the problem of seasonal tourism that has existed for many years.

Onsen experience according to international standards

The entire resort handed over by Sun Group includes 178 villas, 38 washitsu rooms, and the Public Onsen area. Among them, 50 villas and all washitsu rooms have completed upgrades according to Hilton's global service standards and are ready for operation; the remaining villas are expected to be exploited by the end of this year.

At Hilton Quang Hanh Onsen Resort, each room type is equipped with a private onsen pool and a hot-cold bathing system, allowing guests to fully enjoy the hot mineral therapy in a private space. The accommodation system is designed diversely, suitable for many groups of guests. Notably, the Presidential Villa – a secluded resort villa with 5 bedrooms, a private karaoke room, a personal teppanyaki area, a wine cellar, and a massage room, meeting the needs for relaxation combined with entertainment and hosting in absolute privacy.

Guests staying at the resort can directly access the Public Onsen area and the children's play area. At the same time, Hilton adds premium amenities characteristic of the brand through the Clubhouse complex, including Eforea Spa, an indoor pool with mountain views, a 24/7 fitness center, a yoga space, and the Genji restaurant and bar system – a premium Japanese culinary brand within the Hilton system. This complex contributes to completing the experience ecosystem and enriching the culinary landscape at the resort.

Before being handed over to Hilton, Yoko Onsen Quang Hanh, developed by Sun Group, had become a symbol of health care resort in Vietnam. The resort possesses a rare natural salty hot spring source, ranked among the top 5% of high-quality salty mineral sources in the world. The world-leading high bromine content in the mineral source here offers many benefits: supporting toxin elimination, pain relief and recovery of musculoskeletal function, promoting blood circulation, boosting immunity, supporting the treatment of skin diseases, skin rejuvenation, and especially helping to relax the mind and reduce stress.
