According to statistics from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ninh province, during the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026 holiday, the total number of visitors and tourists to the province is estimated to reach 1,128,000.
On the 5th day of Tet (February 21st), destinations in the province recorded approximately 225,000 visitors, equivalent to 108% compared to the same period in 2025. Tourism revenue for the day was estimated at 630 billion VND, an increase of 110% compared to the same period last year.
During the early spring period, a large number of people and tourists made pilgrimages to Yen Tu for sightseeing and worship.
Over the 9-day Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026 holiday, the entire province welcomed approximately 1,128,000 visitors (reaching 116% compared to the same period in 2025), with total tourism revenue estimated at 3,172 billion VND (equivalent to 122% compared to the same period in 2025).

Many famous tourist attractions, especially world heritage sites and spiritual sites, recorded a sharp increase in visitors. Specifically, Ha Long Bay welcomed about 79,000 visitors (126% compared to the same period in 2025); while Yen Tu attracted about 171,000 visitors (221%).
Other spiritual sites also attracted many visitors such as Cai Bau Pagoda with about 158,000 visitors (122%), Ba Vang Pagoda with about 160,000 visitors (139%). Bach Dang welcomed about 104,000 visitors (114%), the Tran Dynasty Historical Site about 81,000 visitors (137%), and Cua Ong Temple about 79,000 visitors (101%).
In the group of entertainment and cultural attractions, Sun World Ha Long welcomed about 13,000 visitors (104%), while Quang Ninh Museum reached about 8,000 visitors (159%).
With its advantages of unique natural landscapes, a rich heritage system with over 600 tangible cultural heritages, and increasingly improved tourism and transportation infrastructure, Quang Ninh is expected to continue to be among the leading tourist destinations in the country in 2026.
