On May 1, Lonely Planet announced its list of “The best places to visit in Asia this summer”, with Da Nang ranking second, and the best time to visit being June.

Summer 2026, Da Nang continues to assert its position on the international tourism map when it was honored by Lonely Planet in the Top 2 best summer destinations in Asia. This is not just an iconic ranking, but also clear evidence of the increasingly strong appeal of the central coastal city in the eyes of global tourists. According to Lonely Planet's assessment, the ideal time to visit Da Nang is June – when the weather is sunny, the sea is calm, and tourism activities enter the most vibrant season of the year.

This list gathers many prominent destinations in the region such as Busan, Singapore, or Bali, showing Da Nang's considerable competitiveness in the race to attract tourists during the peak season. However, what makes Da Nang different lies not only in its landscape but also in its rare balance between relaxation, nature exploration, and cultural experiences.

Boasting famous beaches such as My Khe Beach or Non Nuoc Beach, Da Nang is likened to a "summer paradise" for those who love outdoor activities. The long stretch of fine white sand, clear blue waters, and favorable weather conditions make it an ideal destination for activities like swimming, surfing, paragliding, or boat trips on the Han River. Especially, summer in Da Nang often has less rain compared to many other areas, offering a more complete and stable travel experience for tourists.

Not stopping at the beach, the city also scores points thanks to its diverse tourism ecosystem, allowing visitors to experience multiple layers of space within a short journey. From the pristine nature at Son Tra Peninsula – likened to the city's "green lung" – to the spiritual landscape complex of the Marble Mountains with its mysterious cave systems and ancient pagodas, all create a rare depth of experience. Besides, visitors can also explore unique cultural values at the Da Nang Museum of Cham Sculpture – home to the world's largest collection of Cham artifacts, or easily connect to Hoi An Ancient Town within about an hour's travel.

The harmonious combination of sea, mountains, culture, and modern urban life has helped Da Nang shape an "all-in-one" tourism ecosystem, suitable for many types of travelers – from high-end resorts, family tourism to individual exploration. This is also why the city continuously appears in prestigious global rankings, gradually consolidating its image as one of the most attractive destinations in Asia.

In the context of the region's strong tourism recovery, being highly ranked by Lonely Planet not only contributes to elevating the destination's brand but also opens up great opportunities for Da Nang to attract more international markets. With a sustainable development orientation, focusing on experiences and service quality, the city is gradually transforming from a familiar stopover into a "must-visit destination" in the Asia exploration journey for global travelers.
