A Convergence of Unique Voices
The opening night of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival 2025 (DIFF 2025) on May 31st will be a competition between Vietnam's first representative – the Da Nang International Fireworks Team (Vietnam 1) and the reigning champion of DIFF 2024, Finland (Joho Pyro Professional Fireworks AB). This year's opening night theme, "Cultural Essence," is ideal for both teams to showcase their unique identities and deliver spectacular and surprising performances. Notably, the opening night will also be a special art festival featuring renowned and talented artists.
This art festival will not only feature already famous names such as singer Tung Duong or ca nương Kieu Anh, but also powerful young talents like Nguyen Tran Trung Quan and Thu Hang.
The program for the opening night's artistic performances is exceptionally diverse, showcasing distinct cultural colors, connecting Da Nang's glorious past with its proud present. Alongside the characteristic cultural identity of the city of bridges, the opening night fireworks audience will also witness the cultural beauty of Finland through dance performances by international artists, creating an art festival night promising to be as captivating and colorful as the fireworks bursting in the Da Nang night sky.
A World-Class Art Stage by the Han River and Against the Da Nang Night Sky
Beyond the music, this year's DIFF will also treat the audience to a grand spectacle, a peak combination of technology and sound. The stage of DIFF 2025 is the largest and most invested stage in the history of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival, offering unprecedented flexibility in stage design. In particular, the new generation LED floor technology and upgraded surround sound will optimize the visual and auditory experience for the audience from every seat.
A special highlight of DIFF is its strong shift towards digital transformation to provide a more comprehensive and convenient experience for tourists. The Sun Paradise Land (SPL) application will become a powerful "digital assistant," allowing users to personalize their Da Nang exploration itinerary, quickly book fireworks tickets, and experience AR technology on paper tickets and Sky AR over the Han River. With a performance area of up to 600,000m² and approximately 10 million pixels, Sky AR transforms the sky into a giant "stage" to admire the characteristic cultural and architectural icons of Da Nang through exciting graphic effects.
With large-scale investment in stage, sound, lighting, and performing artists, DIFF 2025 promises a top-tier art and entertainment event, full of inspiration, heating up the atmosphere before the dazzling fireworks light up the Da Nang sky. Tourists visiting Da Nang during this time will have memorable moments, where art explodes and dreams soar together in the sky of the Han River city.
The opening night of DIFF 2025 will take place on the evening of May 31, featuring two world-class fireworks displays: “Essence of Culture” by Da Nang's representative – the Da Nang International Fireworks Team (Vietnam 1) and “Nordic Light” by the reigning champion of DIFF 2024, Finland (Joho Pyro Professional Fireworks AB).
The program will be broadcast live on VTV1 channel of Vietnam Television from 8:10 PM. The event is organized by the Da Nang People's Committee with the participation of Sun Group.
