On November 1st, the new airline Sun PhuQuoc Airways will operate its first commercial flight, officially entering the Vietnamese aviation market.
From October 15th, the airline has opened ticket sales on its website and nationwide dealer system. This event quickly attracted the attention of passengers, tourism businesses, and travel agents – who are eagerly awaiting the "newcomer" named Pearl Island to take off.
Taking off simultaneously in three major cities
According to sources from Aviation Magazine, on November 1st, 2025, Sun PhuQuoc Airways will simultaneously operate three inaugural flights departing from Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang, all landing in Phu Quoc at 10 AM – marking the beginning of a journey connecting major tourist centers in Vietnam.
At Tan Son Nhat International Airport and Phu Quoc, ground handling units are urgently completing preparations for the inaugural flight, scheduled to depart from Ho Chi Minh City to Phu Quoc at 7 AM on November 1st.
Ticket policies and exclusive offers
Sun PhuQuoc Airways aims for a model of “resort aviation”, seamlessly connecting flight – entertainment – resort experiences within the Sun Group ecosystem.
Ticket prices for the Ho Chi Minh City – Phu Quoc route currently range from 875,000 – 1,000,000 VND, including food, drinks, and free baggage allowance (7kg hand luggage + 23kg checked baggage for Economy class).
The airline applies the policy “Loving Steps” for special passenger groups:
- Children under 2 years old: 10% of adult fare
 - Children aged 2–12: 75% of adult fare
 - Seniors (from 60 years old): 85% of adult fare

Phu Quoc eagerly awaits 'newcomer to the skies'
Local tourism industry expresses great expectations with the launch of Sun Phu Quoc Airways. Mr. Nguyen Hoang Quan, a tour guide in Phu Quoc, shared:
“An airline named after the Pearl Island will surely contribute to promoting local tourism, offering more convenient and quality travel options for tourists.”
According to the plan, Sun Phu Quoc Airways will operate 8 aircraft in 2025, including Airbus A321NX and A321CEO, operating routes Phu Quoc – Hanoi, Phu Quoc – Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi – Ho Chi Minh City.
By 2026–2027, the airline plans to expand its fleet to 30–35 aircraft, covering all key tourist routes and some short international routes such as South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, China, India, Hong Kong.
