The Sam Son - Shining Aspiration Sea Festival is an event organized by the Thanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee in collaboration with Sun Group. The event, held just before the April 30th holiday, offers not only an explosive night of artistic performances but also marks the opening of the vibrant summer tourism season in the coastal city in 2025.

The festival features a large-scale art program, meticulously invested in both content and presentation. With the overarching theme of honoring traditional values and igniting the aspiration to shine, the program promises to take the audience on an emotionally rich artistic journey – where past and present intersect, and tradition and modernity blend in every musical performance.

The 2024 Sea Festival attracted over 300,000 attendees.

The program comprises three acts, taking the audience on a journey to discover a land of ‘outstanding people and beautiful land’, a place marked by significant historical and cultural events of the nation, to Thanh Hoa province with its aspirations for growth today. Audiences will encounter familiar songs like ‘Que Thanh mien dat tinh nguoi’ (Thanh Hoa, land of humane people), ‘Chao song Ma anh hung’ (Greeting the heroic Ma River), ‘Mau do da vang’ (Red and yellow skin)… but with a unique and fresh musical color.

The Sea Square stage – the heart of the coastal city – will be more vibrant than ever as it welcomes renowned Vietnamese artists such as diva Thu Minh, singer ST Son Thach, Pham Anh Duy, Luong Nguyet Anh, Dong Hung, Le Anh Dung, My Lam, and the Dong Thoi Gian (Time Flow) band. They will deliver spectacular performances meticulously orchestrated by the reputable stage director – MC Anh Tuan.

Hosting the program are two familiar faces from television – MC My Lan and MC Hanh Phuc – who will connect the emotions of thousands of attendees at the event and millions watching on television. The program will be broadcast live on TTV channel and the digital platform of Thanh Hoa Radio and Television Station.

An indispensable highlight of the festival is the artistic fireworks display against the night sky of Sam Son – this brilliant moment not only concludes the program impressively but also ushers in a vibrant and spirited summer, full of hope. It is an image of a Sam Son undergoing a powerful transformation, becoming more dynamic and modern every day.

The Sam Son - Shining Aspiration Festival also marks the beginning of a series of rich summer tourism activities that will take place in the coastal city in the coming period.

With its cool climate, diverse destinations from the blue sea to the high mountains, and a series of new attractions, Sam Son is gradually asserting its position as one of the most attractive tourist destinations in Northern Vietnam and the whole country.

One of the notable stops this summer is the water park Sun World Sam Son – a modern entertainment complex located right on the beach. The park boasts a world-class water games system, wave pool, high-speed slides, and relaxation areas suitable for both adults and children. This promises to be the most attractive summer cool-down destination for groups of friends and families, bringing the utmost refreshing feeling to all visitors.

During this year's April 30th - May 1st holiday, Sam Son Beach Square will become the focal point of nighttime entertainment with spectacular water music performances every evening during the holiday. These elaborately produced water music shows, combining sound, light, modern artistic water spray effects, and vivid projections, promise to deliver a visually stunning entertainment experience for visitors.

Along the square, visitors will find a series of beautifully arranged cafes, drink stalls, restaurants, and street food areas with diverse styles. This is an ideal place to stop for a coffee, enjoy fresh seafood, or delicious snacks such as grilled rice paper, coconut ice cream, and fragrant grilled skewers...

Besides that, entertainment activities for both adults and children are also developing strongly. Mobile game areas, mini electric cars, artistic check-in areas, street performances, live music… create a cheerful and bustling festive atmosphere throughout the evening.

In addition, visitors to Sam Son can also experience strolling along Ho Xuan Huong beach road, admiring the magnificent sunrise on the horizon, enjoying fresh seafood at vibrant culinary areas, or visiting famous historical and spiritual sites such as Doc Cuoc Temple, Co Tien Temple...
