4.1 How to get to the cable car station 

Starting from Nuoc Ngam Bus Station, Hanoi, you follow National Highway 1A (QL1A) for about 650m to enter the Phap Van - Cau Gie Expressway (CT01).

From here, continue straight on the CT01 → CT04 → QL5B expressway (i.e., the Hanoi – Hai Phong expressway) for about 1 hour and 20 minutes, a distance of about 114 km, until you reach the turnoff to the Dong Hai – Hai An area (Hai Phong).

After exiting the expressway, turn onto the access road to the Tan Vu – Lach Huyen bridge, the longest sea-crossing bridge in Vietnam. Cross the bridge for about 11.5 km (~14 minutes) to enter Cat Hai island.

From the end of the bridge, follow the signs for about 1–2 km to reach the Sun World Cat Ba area, located in Chan village, Dong Bai commune, near the ferry terminal and Cat Ba cable car station.
