With the theme "Creative Art", the second night of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival – DIFF 2025, sponsored by Sun Group and in collaboration with the Da Nang People’s Committee, brought viewers an explosive journey of emotions, full of surprises and impressions.

Aspiring to Soar: The Fireworks ‘Manifesto’ of the Vietnamese Team

In the second night of DIFF 2025, team Z121 Vina Pyrotech Vietnam delivered a peak performance titled "Aspiring to Soar", elaborately staged with 5 chapters, opening a journey of Da Nang from the past to the present and towards the future.

Opening with a lively burst, multi-colored fireworks exploded to the rhythm of vibrant music, painting the sky with vivid and modern colors, portraying a young Da Nang, constantly breaking through. True to the theme of "Creative Art", Z121 surprised the audience with continuously changing firework colors and was also the first team in the history of DIFF to use colored smoke fireworks.

Warm yellow hues, combined with the slow-blooming and softly falling effects of fireworks like falling stars, took the audience to the old memories. Like a slow-motion film, the performance evoked a Da Nang that was once a bustling trading center from the 17th century, welcoming sails from all over the world.

Musician Nguyen Duc Trinh - Chairman of the Vietnam Musicians Association shared: “Today we are very proud and emotional, especially team Z121 Vietnam, although participating in the fireworks festival for the first time, has brought many impressions to the audience.”

The climax was a moment when the Da Nang sky lit up with the image of the red and gold star flag recreated in fireworks, glorious and full of pride. The melody “As if Uncle Ho were here on the day of great victory” resounded amidst the incessant applause of the audience, bringing a sacred moment commemorating the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South, the reunification of the country, and the liberation of Da Nang. Rarely has a performance at DIFF caused the audience to sing along in unison, sharing every beat of emotion like this. A competition entry highly appreciated for its emotion, technique, and artistic depth.

“Too surprising! The Vietnamese team not only displayed fireworks but also evoked national pride through the art of light. Never have I watched fireworks and felt as moved as today,” shared Mr. Nguyen Phu (Hanoi).

Dragon Love: A mythological story in the Da Nang night sky

The inspiration from the Dragon Bridge seems inexhaustible for the Polish team. Once again, after “The Legend of the Dragon” at DIFF 2024, the Polish pyrotechnicians brought a performance continuing the story of the legendary creature. And this time, “Dragon Love” continued to make a supremely brilliant Polish mark, making the audience watching the fireworks feel like they were watching a mythological film.

Epic symphonies like Prophecy, The power of love, and love songs Dark side story, Epilogue, blended with unique firework effects. Spiral fireworks, high-altitude fireworks, and cool blue, silver, and purple effects took the audience to the deep ocean where Draco, the dragon, plunged into the water. And when the music shifted to a gentle, poetic rhythm, the fireworks bloomed in a fan shape, the golden and orange glow reflecting the moonlight on the scales of Luna, the fire dragon.

“Poland has maintained the form of a strong team in fireworks competitions from the past to the present – a team that always chooses very good music, very much in sync with the fireworks,” said musician Nguyen Duc Trinh.

In particular, the climax in the God of Lighting music was used by the Polish team to create a spectacular scene: fireworks simultaneously launched from many points, forming a band of light, symbolizing the moment when Draco and Luna combined forces to create the Dragon Bridge in Da Nang. Every drum beat, every note was in harmony with the movement of the fireworks, creating the feeling that every explosion was also “dancing” to the music, causing the audience to collectively gasp in amazement.

The creative performance by the Polish team truly touched the hearts of the audience, with its beautiful message about love and the desire to overcome all differences, in line with the spirit that DIFF always aims for.

A New Wave of Art on the Han River Stage

Elevating the artistic experience, the second night of DIFF 2025 also treated the audience to a "grand music festival" by the Han River.

Featuring promising young talents who are gradually making their mark on the Vietnamese music scene, such as Tang Duy Tan, violinist Trinh Minh Hien, singer Muoii, and hundreds of domestic and international artists. The vibrant, youthful, and trendy songs created a captivating artistic feast on the banks of the Han River. The innovation in the selection of artists, song list, and stage choreography of this year's DIFF has brought a fresh and impressive new breeze to DIFF 2025.

Meritorious Artist Quang Hao, Director of the Truong Vuong Theater, Artistic Director of DIFF 2025, shared: "With the scale of this year's festival, we have brought about 100 artists to the stage, with about 200 backstage staff each night, and for each stage, we have about 2-3 famous stars performing, so that every stage leaves an unforgettable impression on the audience.

With the support of the city's leaders, the Truong Vuong Theater, with its highest working spirit, has directly contacted Vietnam's big stars to participate in the art program within the framework of this year's DIFF fireworks festival. The artists were very enthusiastic when they received the invitation to participate in the program, especially when they returned to the beautiful city of Da Nang to participate in such a large-scale fireworks festival."

Besides the spectacular artistic performances, the outdoor augmented reality technology Sky AR continues to prove its undiminished appeal since the opening night. From adults to children, everyone is eager to experience it by downloading the Sun Paradise Land application, then pointing their phones to the Han River sky to admire the vivid 3D images. The augmented reality models are designed based on the characteristic cultural icons of Da Nang, giving the feeling that a magical world is opening up right above, making every tourist excited to explore.
