3. How to buy Ba Den Mountain cable car tickets

Depending on your travel style and how much control you want over your itinerary, you can buy Ba Den Mountain cable car tickets online, directly at the station, or through travel agencies. Each option comes with its own advantages, affecting waiting time, availability of preferred time slots, and overall flexibility during your trip.

3.1 Buy tickets online via Sun World website or Sun Paradise Land app

Booking tickets online is becoming the preferred choice for many travelers when searching for Ba Den Mountain cable car ticket prices in 2026. It allows you to plan ahead, choose your preferred route, and secure tickets before your trip.

You can access the official booking website at: https://booking.sunworld.vn/vi or download the Sun Paradise Land app on your phone, select “Sun World Ba Den Mountain,” and complete your booking within minutes.

The online system lets you review all available cable car routes, combo tickets, and packages with buffet options in a clear and user-friendly interface, without being limited by ticket counter hours.

The process typically starts with logging in or creating an account, then selecting your travel date, number of tickets, and preferred services. After completing payment via bank card, e-wallet, or supported online methods, you will receive an e-ticket with a QR code via email or directly in the app.

At the cable car station, simply scan your QR code at the gate. No need to queue for physical tickets, which is especially helpful during peak seasons, holidays, or busy weekends. For a smoother experience, booking your Ba Den Mountain cable car tickets online in advance is the best way to secure your preferred time slot and avoid long lines.

3.2 Buy tickets directly at the cable car station

Buying tickets at the station is a familiar option for independent travelers or those without a fixed plan. Ticket counters are clearly arranged, and staff are available to advise on routes, ticket types, and combo options suitable for your visit. Payment methods are flexible, including cash, bank cards, and QR code payments through digital wallets, making the process faster than before.

However, during peak hours such as weekend mornings or major holidays, ticket counters can become crowded. Visitors may need to wait both for purchasing tickets and entering the boarding area. In addition, buying on-site makes it harder to secure ideal time slots or preferred routes if demand is high. This option is best suited for flexible trips where timing is not too strict.

3.3 Buy tickets through travel agencies

Purchasing tickets through travel agencies is often combined with full-service packages such as transportation, tour guides, or pre-arranged itineraries. This option is ideal for large groups or organized tours. In many cases, agencies can reserve a large number of tickets in advance, allowing groups to enter together and avoid being split at the gate.

However, ticket allocations for agencies are limited, especially during peak seasons. It is important to book early to secure availability on your desired date. This option works best for corporate groups, multi-generational families, or travelers who prefer not to manage every detail themselves. For individuals or small groups, online booking or direct purchase is usually more flexible and efficient.

4. What to do after arriving by Ba Mountain Cable Car?

4.1. Visit Ba Temple Complex

Located halfway up the mountain, the Ba Den Temple Complex is a sacred destination with centuries of history, comprising six temples. Worshipping here is one of the most traditional things to do in Tay Ninh, attracting millions of pilgrims annually to offer incense and fruits, especially during the Lunar New Year.

Linh Son Thien Thach Tu is the oldest and most sacred temple, located about 300 meters above sea level next to the enchanting Ba Den Cave, where the statue of Lady Ba is carved directly into the rock face. Legend says Lady Ba is highly responsive to prayers regarding peace and prosperity.

Long Chau Phuoc Trung Tu is famous for its curved roofs and intricately carved stone pillars. Young visitors often come here to pray for blessings in love and relationships, making it a vibrant spiritual spot.

4.2. Admire the Tay Bo Da Son Lady Buddha Statue

At the summit, you will be awestruck by the Tay Bo Da Son Lady Buddha Statue, the tallest bronze Lady Buddha statue in Asia at 72 meters tall, casts a benevolent gaze over the plains. In 2020, the statue set records including “the tallest bronze Lady Buddha statue in Asia located on a mountain peak” and “the tallest bronze Lady Buddha statue in Vietnam located on a mountain peak.”

This combination of art, nature and faith makes it a standout attraction in Tay Ninh tourism that rivals any international destination.

Nearby, a giant Maitreya Bodhisattva statue composed of thousands of sandstone pieces symbolizes absolute joy and happiness. Viewing these majestic masterpieces is one of the most iconic things to do in Tay Ninh. The statue measures 36 meters in height, with a maximum width of 45 meters, and is constructed from 5,112 tonnes of natural sandstone. Its surface spans 4,651 square meters, assembled from 6,688 stone blocks arranged in 54 stepped layers, a design inspired by the geometry of terraced fields.

Rather than emphasizing decorative detail, the design highlights mass, texture, and architectural clarity, allowing the statue to merge sculptural presence with the surrounding landscape.

4.4. Visit the Konagamana Buddha Statue – “Buddha who comes from Gold”

The Konagamana Buddha Statue is a newly established spiritual landmark marking an important addition to the sacred landscape of southern Vietnam and to the wider map of iconic buddha statues in Vietnam. This statue represents Konagamana Buddha, one of the Seven Buddhas of the Past in Buddhist tradition, symbolizing moral discipline, purity of mind, and the continuity of enlightenment across different eras. The statue stands 7.2 meters tall, cast in red bronze and finished with 24k gold leaf paint.

Seated in a meditative lotus posture, the Buddha displays the teaching gesture, reflecting the transmission of the Dharma. The statue is placed within the Udumbara Garden on the mountain summit, a space designed for contemplation and ceremonial practice.

4.5. Experience the Buddhist Art Exhibition Center

Beneath the giant Bodhisattva statue lies the Buddhist Art Exhibition Center. Visiting this center is one of the most educational and visually stunning things to do in Tay Ninh. The museum houses over 200 Buddhist sculptures, lacquer paintings, embroidery and antique artifacts from the 17th-18th centuries. Notably, the collection of wooden Buddha statues crafted by traditional artisans.

The exhibition spans 2.000 m² across multiple themed galleries that feels like a journey into a sacred galaxy with warm, mystical lighting. A unique feature is the 3D-mapping – a VR experience, which lets visitors virtually explore famous temples worldwide and has become a popular photo check-in spot for young travelers in Tay Ninh.

The highlight is the 3D mapping show on a massive dome screen, vividly projecting the universe through Buddhist cosmology. This immersive, multi-dimensional cinematic experience captivates audiences of all ages and the fusion of culture and cutting-edge visual effects sets Sun World apart.

The centerpiece is the “Legend of Ba Den Mountain” film, telling Ly Thi Thien Huong’s story with 4K visuals and Dolby Atmos sound. Screening lasts 25 minutes and runs 8 times daily from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Short films on Ba Den’s beauty, Vietnamese Buddhism and Southern spiritual culture are also shown. Tickets are 50.000 VND for adults and 30.000 VND for children under 12.

5. Weather tips and useful advice for riding the Ba Den Mountain cable car

Tay Ninh has a tropical monsoon climate with two distinct seasons: the dry season from December to April and the rainy season from May to November. During the dry season, the time between 5:30 AM and 7:00 AM is considered ideal for experiencing the Ba Den Mountain cable car, thanks to the fresh air, clear visibility, and the chance to witness stunning cloud formations.

Temperatures at the summit are typically 3 to 5°C lower than at the base, especially in the early morning or late afternoon. It is recommended to bring a light jacket and wear non-slip sneakers to ensure comfort and safety throughout your visit.

During peak periods such as holidays or festivals, it is best to arrive at the cable car station early, ideally before 6:00 AM. This helps reduce waiting time and gives you the opportunity to catch a beautiful sunrise from the summit. You should also prepare essentials such as water, sunscreen, and a camera to capture memorable moments. Carrying some cash is useful for purchasing souvenirs or enjoying local specialties available at the top.

With its modern cable car system, multiple routes, and reasonable pricing, Ba Den Mountain stands out as a must-visit destination for those looking to experience the feeling of “touching the clouds” in Southern Vietnam.
