Traveling during spring in Vietnam's "most livable city" this Tet, you will encounter a vibrant appearance with streets full of flags and flowers, and brilliant spring flower arrangements stretching along both banks of the Han River. According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City, local units and authorities are focusing on urban beautification and arranging spaces to serve residents and tourists during the Lunar New Year. The spring atmosphere is therefore present not only through flags, flowers, or brilliant decorations, but also through the city's preparation of every square, street, and public space to welcome guests.
Vibrant traditional spring festivals
Throughout Tet, in many urban centers such as Dragon Bridge East Bank Park, Tra Van commune, Hoi An ward, Hoi An Tay... will simultaneously host special festivals like Spring Fair 2026, An Hai Folk Tet Festival, Traditional Tet Space, Tet Market Day – Auspicious Procession, or Tet Viet 2026. Familiar activities such as making banh chung, getting calligraphy from Mr. Do, folk games, and traditional art performances are organized in many public spaces, giving tourists the opportunity to immerse themselves in the true Vietnamese Tet atmosphere.

Many Tet festivals and markets will be held to celebrate the Year of the Binh Ngo across Da Nang
The spring atmosphere is further extended by art programs celebrating Spring, performances of Tuong (classical drama), Bai Choi (folk singing and acting), folk singing, and street music taking place throughout many locations in the city. The liveliness is not too noisy, but moderately controlled, creating a close, measured, and rich cultural rhythm – in line with the spirit of a tourist city aiming for sustainable experiences.
One of the special highlights of this spring is the New Year's Eve fireworks display, organized simultaneously at many points across the city. According to the plan, from 0:00 on February 17 (New Year's Eve), 6 firing points in the central area of Da Nang will light up the sky for about 15 minutes; at the same time, the firing point at Con Bap tourist area (Hoi An ward) expands the viewing space to the heritage area, spreading the moment of the new year's transition across the Han River city and its surroundings.

And as the last bursts of light fade over the Han River sky, many tourists choose to continue their journey – higher up, seeking a different spring amidst the clouds and sky of Ba Na, to enjoy a truly different "sky-high" spring experience.
Festival of One Million Tulips on Ba Na Peak
One of the most outstanding events this Lunar New Year is the 2026 Tulip Festival in the Clouds at the tourist area Sun World Ba Na Hills . Taking place from February 5 to March 31, approximately one million tulips will simultaneously bloom, spreading across the entire mountaintop, connecting squares, walking paths, and the castle area into seamless "flower paths in the clouds".

Not only impressive in scale, the festival also stands out with 36 tulip varieties imported from Ha Lan (Netherlands), directly cultivated and cared for by the Ba Na Hills team under the special climate conditions of the mountaintop. As a result, natural flower beds with eye-pleasing color palettes ranging from red, yellow, pink to purple, orange, and white create a feeling of a "miniature Netherlands" on the mountaintop. The radiant flowers bloom, making every corner at Sun World Ba Na Hills imbued with a classic European atmosphere, offering a relaxing and unique spring travel experience.
To allow visitors ample time to fully enjoy this space, the "1 ticket for 3 days" policy, enabling unlimited cable car rides within 72 hours from the first use, transforms the trip from a race against time to "hurrying to finish" into an opportunity to savor each moment at one's own pace. This "golden ticket" unlocks the possibility of fully experiencing the four themed zones on Ba Na Hill, from the vibrant Sun Kingdom, the mystical Moon Kingdom to the serene Root Country.

If spring flowers create the emotional backdrop, then the series of outdoor shows play the role of setting the rhythm for the day's journey. From the explosive energy of the Solar Warrior show with its powerful malambo drumbeats to the romance of Love in the Sky, or the saxophone music performance in an open space, and especially the 18+ cabaret show After Glow with three shows daily for visitors to have many choices, making it easier to arrange schedules.
Amidst the year-round cool climate, drifting clouds and mountains, and gentle early spring sunshine, all experiences on Bana unfold at a moderate pace. From the festive atmosphere in the town to the sea of flowers in the clouds, Da Nang opens up a continuous spring – where everyone can start the new year with a feeling that is gentle yet fulfilling, lively yet with space for personal quietude.
