Taking place annually since 2021, the Baden Mountain International Marathon is one of the largest running events in Tay Ninh and the Southeast region of Vietnam. This year, with the theme "The Legendary Run – Duong chay huyen thoai", the Baden Mountain International Marathon 2025 is expected to attract around 8,000 athletes.
The race will officially take place on August 3, 2025, starting and finishing at the square of the Ba Den Mountain cable car station – the highest mountain in Southern Vietnam and an iconic landmark of Tay Ninh.

Not only is it a record-breaking running event in Tay Ninh, the Baden Mountain International Marathon 2025 also marks the first time Tay Ninh has organized a race with international course certification from AIMS & the Vietnam Athletics Federation. The course has undergone a rigorous evaluation and certification process to meet the strict technical standards set by AIMS (Association of International Marathons and Distance Races). International AIMS experts conducted precise measurements, ensuring accuracy in all aspects of the course, including distance, elevation, gradient, wind speed, and race conditions, to create a fair and optimal competitive environment for athletes.

With this standard, runners participating in the Baden Mountain International Marathon 2025 can use their race results to register for major races worldwide, such as the Boston Marathon, Chicago Marathon, New York City Marathon, etc.
In addition to its international-standard quality, the Baden Mountain International Marathon 2025 boasts a breathtaking course that connects legendary landmarks of the sacred land of Tay Ninh. Starting and finishing at the majestic Ba Den Mountain, the course will pass through famous destinations in Tay Ninh such as Nui Da Lake, Ma Thien Lanh, and Toa Thanh – a magnificent religious structure of the Cao Dai religion…

With Ba Den Mountain as the center of the race activities, the Baden Mountain International Marathon 2025 will inspire a sacred pilgrimage land, associated with the legend of Linh Son Thanh Mau, deeply rooted in the cultural life of the people of Tay Ninh in particular and the Southern region in general.
Especially, this year's race has an attractive prize structure, with many diverse categories and a total value of hundreds of millions of dong. The 42km and 21km distances both have 5 prize categories for outstanding athletes, with a total prize value of up to 166 million. In the age group category, both the 42km and 21km distances have 7 age groups from 18 years old to over 50 years old. The total prize value for age groups is up to 42 million, with 56 prizes for outstanding athletes. Teams and clubs participating in the 42km and 21km distances will have the opportunity to compete in 3 prize categories for each distance. The total prize value for clubs and teams is up to 73 million dong.

Baden Mountain International Marathon 2025 is organized by the Tay Ninh Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, implemented by Nexus Media Joint Stock Company, and the co-organizer, also the main sponsor, is Tay Ninh Sun Company, a branch of Sun World BaDen Mountain under the Sun Group.
The opening ceremony of the race will take place on August 2, 2025 at the Ba Den Mountain cable car station square. On the morning of August 3, 2025, the competition program will officially begin with 4 different time slots for 4 different distances (5km, 10km, 21km and 42km).

Participants in the race will include professional male and female athletes, amateur athletes, and independent athletes from both domestic and international backgrounds; running clubs from inside and outside the province; organizations and businesses from inside and outside the province… As of the end of June 2025, more than 5,000 runners from across the country have registered to purchase bibs and participate in the race.
The BaDen Mountain Marathon has inspired the community regarding this popular sport and has become the largest sports tourism event in Tay Ninh province for many years. In 2025, the race will continue to honor and promote the beautiful and sacred land of Tay Ninh, true to its name “The Legendary Race”, while also conveying a message about a Tay Ninh full of youthful energy in an era of self-advancement.
